And finally battle magic spells don't scale with weapons and many tome debuffs require you to use base magic attacks, not battle magic abilities.Īnother thing is that mystic culture gets star blades for heroes, which is not great when compared to high culture which get exposing light (awakener ability) which does 22 damage in 1 hex radius and applies sundered defense and resistances comparably, star blades require casting spells, only applies on base attacks and lose stacks. Furthermore the magecraft skills don't give damage like archery or melee damage, just accuracy, and battle magic abilities don't miss. Frost evoker does 15 dmg and 60% chance of hard cc, which when this skills comes online isn't much, and requires you to be adjacent to the enemy, which is another problem since other battle magic skills don't have many survivality options. Most of these do low damage, Lightning evoker does 10 damage to 3 targets, fire evoker does 15 in an hex. After the recent nerf to maximised magic, battle magic skills are almost useless.
